I'm one of the developers of Children of Solarus, this is a scam / probably a virus

For what it's worth, the bullet points are correct though, but the game is still in very early development. Actual code is just on Gitlab, can check it out from the solarus-games.org website

Hi there! First of all, I sincerely apologize if my recent upload of Children of Solarus on itch.io caused any concern. I genuinely love the project and wanted to help bring visibility to it again.

The version I uploaded is simply a compiled, unmodified build packaged via Inno Setup. I ensured that:

All attributions and licenses are properly included,

The source code and original credits are clearly linked on the itch.io page,

No changes were made to the game or its content,

And most importantly — it is not a virus or harmful file in any way. I understand that standalone .exe files can trigger suspicion, but I can assure you it’s a clean, direct compilation of the original project, intended purely for accessibility.

I now realize I should have reached out beforehand and communicated more clearly with the community. It was never my intention to misrepresent your work or cause confusion — only to spotlight a wonderful open-source game I admired.

If you'd prefer I will make any specific changes (e.g., adding more disclaimers, linking more prominently to your GitLab repo), I’ll gladly do so.

Thank you for all your hard work on Children of Solarus — it truly inspired me.
